The two screws in the motor ends are for oiling the end bearings. A few drops of light machine oil is all that is needed.

Player mechanism smoothered in grease. None of this mechanism requires any grease! It is designed to be self lubricating by the use of brass and aluminium bearing surfaces. Adding grease just encourages dirt to get into the assembly and cause more problems.
